Last week I attended the new Cirque du Soleil – Kooza show that was in town and had the pleasure of meeting Katie Lee in the Tapis Rouge Lounge hosted by Clos du Bois. The new Rouge-Red blend is my new favorite wine and what I drank the entire night. It’s the perfect Red if you are not into the heavy Reds and are just wanting something light. You may remember Katie from Top Chef or any of her other culinary endeavors which range everywhere from cookbook author to contributing editor at Gotham to special correspondent on Extra. I only had a short time to chat with Katie, but I did manage to get in a couple of questions to report back with. We seemed to have a lot in common regarding our favorite designers and favorite foods. A.L.C by Andrea Lieberman is currently who she turns to for her outfits, saying she loves the simplicity of the line. I am actually wearing a shirt from her collection as I type out this post. I also thought that I should throw in some food related questions…after all I love food and she is a chef. One of my favorite questions to ask is what is your favorite food to cook and your favorite food to eat…her reply was Pizza and Pizza. I had previously asked this one to Chef Marco who replied with the exact same answer. I have so many guilty pleasures – truffle fries (really any french fries) , chips and queso, wine, pretty little liars…or any teen drama for that matter. So of course I was so happy when I asked Katie what her guilty pleasure was and she responded with French Fries.
