Primavera 2013 // Simon Fashion Now

Twice a year the Houston Galleria presents an amazing fashion show that features the best designers of the current season. This year, they took it to a whole new level by having their Primavera Fashion Show on the roof…THE ROOF! And on a pool, the entire time all I could think about was how cool it was that we were actually partying on the roof of The Galleria. I can honestly say I look forward to this event year round and hope they continue this new tradition. I didn’t get any great shots of the setup, but if you want to see more click here. Jonathan Adler X Houston

A couple of months back as I was driving in Upper Kirby, I saw the first sign of Jonathan Adler coming to Houston. I remember I even documented it on facebook or twitter because I was so excited and had not heard one thing about it. Jonathan Adler is one of those stores that I could easily spend all my money in …I love it. The store itself is amazing – I could live there. One thing that is unique to Houston is the Gift Bar. A one stop shop for all your gifting needs. I have always loved gift shopping at the one in New York and spend hours pinning from his website trying to sharpen my interior decorating skills. This is such a great addition to Houston and I love that it is West Ave – just one more reason to go there. These pictures are from the grand opening I went to this week with Magen and Issa.

Nha Khan // Houston Brunch

I had the pleasure of attending an intimate brunch with Khanh Nguyen the designer of Nha Khanh { you have seen her dresses all over the red carpet and celebrities like Giuliana Rancic, Brooklyn Decker, Troian Bellisario and the Kardashians} The setting was Brasserie Max & Julie, a cute French Bistro in Montrose with a fabulous group of girls including the hosts – Issa from We Wear Things and Mandy Kao. I had such a great time talking with Khanh and the other girls about Houston fashion, celebrities and the future. Khanh was so inspiring, down to earth and just the sweetest person to chat with. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Nha Khanh, for now you can purchase her collection at Neiman Marcus and rent on Rent the Runway.

Sam and Lilli // Houston Boutique

I have been dying to check out Sam and Lilli in Houston since it opened. I finally stopped by this past weekend and the first thing I notice, is the design. I love the mix of the concrete floors with the bright colors of the spring merchandise. There were plenty of labels I love, including jadetribe, chan luu, Giles & Brother, Genetic Denim, Cosabella and Kain. This is just one more excuse to go to West Ave in Upper Kirby. Have you made it over yet? Whats your favorite boutique in Houston?

Store Opening // Madewell

Another store I am excited to finally have in Houston. Love how they style their looks and layer all of their pieces. Not to mention the amazing sequin pieces they have every once in a while. This is one of my go to places when I am in New York , and well… The Woodlands is closer than New York so I will definitely be making that 45 minute drive to shop.

Now if only the rumors of Madewell coming to Highland Village were true.

Texas in L.A. // Southward Apparel

I love discovering new lines…especially when they happen to be from Texas. Southward Apparel is a collection that mixes Texas style with the laid back look of L.A. It’s no secret that it’s hot here in Houston {even now in November} so when I am not dressing up, I live in off the shoulder tees and loose tanks. I especially love the Texas theme of them all – my favorites being The Outlaw and The Saddle Up. If you buy up every Texas inspired Wildfox tee, then you will love this brand.
